When the Water Bearer Stumbles: Confronting the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius

“If the water spills, do we mourn what’s lost, or strive to carry it better?”

The Stumble, the Spill, and the Reset
The Solar Eclipse at 28° Aquarius arrives on February 17, 2026, just 11° from the North Node.
The Sun is being eclipsed, and we face a collective initiation. The ego, the identity, and the leadership we may have trusted all feel stripped back. Whether it’s a figure of state, a beloved guide, or even an old self-image, something is being taken away, quieted, or dimmed. And with the North Node present, it’s in service to a greater, long-term becoming.

This eclipse squares Uranus, jolting the Aquarian dream. As an astrologer, this evoked an image of the Water Bearer stumbling, not gracefully pouring out the healing waters of wisdom, but tripping.
Losing water.
Losing control.
Perhaps it’s grief. Perhaps it’s burnout. Maybe we were trying to prove we could carry everything. But this eclipse exposes the truth: what we’re holding isn’t sustainable.
Meanwhile, Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius, sits newly in Aries, conjunct
Neptune. Our structure is compromised. The vessel is cracked, and water leaks through its seams. The pioneering call of Saturn in Aries says we must act… but Neptune’s presence ensures we cannot fully see what we’re doing. We’re fumbling in the dark, trying to contain something we don’t yet understand.
This moment is about sustainability: of vision, of service, of emotional energy. If one tiny obstacle causes the whole thing to collapse, that’s not a fault of fate. That’s a structural fault we can no longer ignore.
And so, the question becomes: where do we need to trim? Where are we carrying too much, and is it even ours to bear?

Key Takeaways for the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius
• The Sun & Moon at 28° Aquarius. This solar eclipse is conjunct the North Node, striving for evolutionary growth.
• Sun & Moon Square to Uranus in Taurus: Unexpected destabilization; the stumble that wakes us up.
• Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries: Structure dissolving; visionary pressure without clarity.
• Venus exalted in Pisces, conjunct North Node: Feminine wisdom, heart-led recalibration, attraction of future vision.
• Mercury trine Jupiter in Cancer (retrograde): Big ideas, intuitive communication, the dream forming inwardly.
Mother’s Mirror: Why Am I Carrying This?

This eclipse brought me face-to-face with the truth of my own overwhelm. There’s so much I want to do, and I’m constantly teetering between two extremes: trying to do it all in one day or feeling so daunted that I shut down entirely.
Right now, I’m being asked to trim the excess. To ask myself: why am I carrying this?
Who am I carrying it for?
Whether it’s offerings I once loved that no longer operate smoothly, or ways of working that erode my time and sanity, I have to acknowledge what’s leaking and plug the holes. I’ve reached a season where I’m reclaiming my worth.
This eclipse doesn’t whisper “rest.” It is commanding me to listen. To grieve what’s been lost. To stop numbing out with distraction. To become, again, someone who creates, not just consumes.
I know I’m not alone in this.
Where are we letting our energy leak? Where are we mistaking martyrdom for love? Where are we trying to prove instead of build? These are the questions I’m taking into the silence with me. I hope you’ll join me there.
Eclipse Integration

Some reflection questions I invite you to consider:
• What have I been trying to carry that isn’t sustainable?
• Where have I taken on burdens that are not mine to hold?
• What “leaks” need plugging, whether in time, energy, or attention?
• Where am I over-explaining or oversharing in a way that depletes me?
• What dream am I magnetizing toward me, and am I moving in faith that it’s already meant for me?
• What community am I truly called to serve, and what structure do I need to support that service?

This eclipse hits all the nerves.
The gut check that forces us to pause and ask: "What kind of world am I building… and is it worth what it’s costing?"
I’m walking this road right alongside you. I’m searching for clarity in this eclipse, and I, too, am learning to trust that when we stumble, it’s not failure. It’s an instruction.

If this moment feels like too much… pause. Breathe. Wring out the old water. And when you’re ready, fill your cup with something that actually nourishes you.
From my altar to yours...
Sending you love and courage this eclipse season,
